The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the Government’s independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. Their role is to register health and social care providers and to inspect whether or not standards are being met.

They then rate each service as either Inadequate, Requires Improvement, Good or Outstanding based on five core criteria, which are;

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well-lead

Liberty House was inspected under this new rating structure in April 2019 and they have been rated as OUTSTANDING overall.

According to the CQC, Liberty House achieved this rating because “Staff took a truly holistic approach to assessing, planning and delivering care and treatment to people who used the service”. During their inspection, the CQC asked clients about our services and the “Feedback from people who used the service and those who were close to them was continually positive about the way staff treated people.” They specifically emphasised that “Staff encouraged clients and family members to give feedback about the service through various routes”.

“Staff went the extra mile and the care they received exceeded their expectations. Clients felt empowered in their treatment.” (Care Quality Commission)
