We understand that you have taken a very big step in accepting that you have a problem and in seeking professional help. It is likely you will be very fearful and unsure of what to expect. This is perfectly natural; Liberty House offers a very warm, friendly and caring environment. We will do all we can to ensure that your stay with us is as comfortable and productive as possible. Our only aim is to assist you in getting well and freeing you from the active bondage of addiction.
On arriving at Liberty House, you will be welcomed by a member of our clinical team. They will be able to offer you reassurance and answer any questions that you may have relating to your stay. You will be shown around the clinic so that you know where to find everything you need and shown to your room. Any valuables will be placed in our safe for safekeeping. Any outstanding paperwork relating to your treatment will be explained to you and completed. We realize that most patients come to us in crisis, and so often arrive confused and intoxicated. We will keep your first day with us as simple as possible so you have time to adjust to your new surroundings. It is important to us that you feel comfortable and not overwhelmed when you first arrive.
Shortly after arriving at Liberty House, you will be taken to meet and be assessed by our medical practitioners. There, you will receive a full medical assessment of your treatment needs. A detox regime will be prescribed if required; this will be constantly reviewed and monitored throughout your stay. Our medical practitioner will also review the list of any current medications that you are prescribed to ensure that your health requirements are met. Additional medication and vitamins may be prescribed to support your recovery process. Our medical practitioner is available at all times, so should you need to speak to, or see someone for a medical concern we will ensure that is promptly arranged. In addition to our onsite medical service, we also have access to a hospital close by. Anyone that is unwell or needs a high level of urgent medical attention can be taken to the hospital to be seen and treated accordingly. Liberty House are also able to provide you with a medical certificate for time off work, so that you don’t need to worry about seeing your own GP before admitting to treatment. We endeavour to take the stress off your shoulders, you are here to convalesce and recover.
Liberty House is a Care Quality Commissioned addiction rehab facility; this means that we adhere to very strict policies and guidelines with regards to your safety, treatment and medical care at all times.
During your first week of rehab treatment, you will meet and work with our Counsellors, who will work with you to pin point your underlying issues and problems that have caused you to self-destruct for so long. Our Counsellors will devise a full care plan for your treatment and continually review and update this as and when required. It is important to us that all aspects of your treatment needs are fully met, this means that we will individualise your care plan to take into account your medical, spiritual, and emotional and social treatment requirements. As the fog from your addiction begins to clear, our Counsellors will be able to up the intensity that they work with you. Your treatment plan will encompass a number of different treatment methodologies to ensure you receive the very best in advanced addiction treatment care. For the duration of your stay, there will also be staff and support workers available to speak to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Liberty House is a very secure environment with CCTV installed in the clinics main areas and stairwells. This is constantly monitored to ensure that each and every client is safe and well. The clinical team will address any concerns immediately. You will not be allowed to leave the premises without a support worker present, this simply keeps you safe from temptation and ensures you are supported at all times. Liberty House further benefits from waking night staff, so you can rest peacefully knowing that support is always available at any time of the day or night.
We appreciate that many of our patients, due to being intoxicated will not be able to drive themselves to the clinic and may be too afraid or at risk to travel alone by other means. We therefore offer a sober transport service to and from the clinic. Our Sober Transport driver it fully trained in supporting you during your journey. They are also able to assist you in packing and ensuring that your property is secured before you leave. If you require this service, please provide us with as much notice as possible so that your admission is not delayed.
