Free/NHS Addiction Treatment Options in Warwickshire

The NHS recommends visiting your GP if you notice the signs of addiction. They can assess and refer you to a local treatment centre that may be in the best position to manage your situation. You could be referred to an inpatient facility that offers NHS treatment or one of the NHS outpatient programmes. You could even be referred to a programme run by a charity such as Addaction.

Addiction Support Groups in Warwickshire

Addiction support groups offer a free alternative to private rehab, which may be out of reach for you right now. They can also be ideal if your addiction is not so severe as to require inpatient treatment. You can attend support group meetings in and around Warwickshire – either concurrently with an outpatient programme, or as an aftercare solution following inpatient detox. Some of the support groups to look out for include:

  • Cocaine Anonymous (CA) is a 12-step group for men and women who meet on a regular basis in order to assist one another in overcoming their common problem of addiction to cocaine. Meetings are free to attend, as it is a non-profit organisation.
  • Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a non-profit fellowship of individuals who are dealing with addiction to drugs or recovering and helping others do the same. Like CA, it also operates on the 12-step model.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a charity organisation, with regular meetings held in and around Warwickshire. Like NA and CA, it is comprised of men and women who meet regularly in order to help one another tackle their addiction. AA pioneered the 12-step approach.
